The ancient market town of Brecon is an ideal base from which to explore
our outstanding National Park. Brecon itself has a range of

The Brecon Agricultural show in August is one of the oldest in Britain
and every year Brecon hosts the widely acclaimed jazz festival, a great
weekend with terrific jazz and a wonderful atmosphere in the town. The
Hay Festival of Literature is within easy access and attracts world
famous authors.
Brecon's theatre offers a wide range of entertainment including opera,
dance and touring theatre companies as well as local talent.
Within the National Park there is excellent walking, cycling, fishing,
sailing, pony trekking, gliding, golf and climbing, something to suit
all tastes from those seeking adventure and fun to those who prefer a
leisurely stroll with some retail therapy. Brecon is ideally placed to
